Good Morning, Lord! Goodbye, Comfort Zone!

I always love the mornings! It is amazing the newness God gives you each day when you wake. Every morning we get to press the refresh button on our lives and evaluate how we want to live that particular day out. It is true the days are woven in together, crashing into us like waves on sand. But no wave, or day, is the same. There will always be something brand new that comes with each sunrise we are given. And today, the sun has brought me something particularly new; this is the first day I am officially on my own as an artist!

I am stepping into uncharted, yet familiar territory in my life.  I am nervous (well, terrified, if we are being honest here) about letting clients down, but completely at ease with the idea of holding a brush in my hand for hours on end.

I think that is why God created days, so we don't have to look so far into the future.

I will take each day at a time and each painting, stroke by stroke. I am blessed beyond words for this opportunity! And thank you so much for cheering me on in this walk. I have spent the last year at Glazed & Fired and am beyond grateful for the confidence and lessons I have learned there and all the little days that have led to this! (A special thank you to Debbie and Liz (pictured) for the sweet sendoff.)

And so today I say a final 'goodbye' to the comfort that I have known and a 'hello' to the dawn of something new! I am excitedly leaping in the hands of my Creator, sailing new oceans! : D
