Julie Ann McKevitt is a visual artist in metro Atlanta. She is known for her colorful, detailed paintings as well as being the founder of the Georgia-based arts non-profit Paint Love.

Julie has been painting for over 20 years. She has had the honor of painting a large-scale mural on the Atlanta BeltLine and has shared her love of art with young people and their families throughout the Southeast.

After witnessing a great need for artistic outlets for youth, Julie, along with her husband Aaron and a strong community of support, began Paint Love in 2014. Paint Love brings extraordinary arts programming to youth facing poverty and trauma. Julie served as the Executive Director until 2019. The organization has grown into one of the most sought-after nonprofit art programs for youth in Atlanta. She believes in the therapeutic power art can have and strives to give young people the ability to grow through art.

While she no longer works in the day to day of Paint Love, Julie continues to champion the work they do with youth. She currently serves on the Duluth Public Arts Commission and can still be found planning art programs, when she isn’t painting in her home studio.

Julie and Aaron and their two daughters reside in Duluth, GA.
