Calligraphy for Wedding Shower Invitations

I have been having fun getting the invites ready (reveal coming soon) for my sister-in-law's wedding shower.  Today, I thought I would try my hand at hand writing the address labels.  Now for those that know me…I actually have pretty bad handwriting.  And combine that with my bad spelling…and yikes! My usual letters and envelopes have more than a few words crossed out! haha.  So, it was fun taking an artist's perspective on an everyday activity such as addressing envelopes.  Here is some work so far: (I'm half way through and the improvement is noticeable..I apologize for those who were addressed first!!)calligraphy

Wedding Shower Invite

I have the honor of helping to throw a wedding shower for my sister-in-law at the end of March. I have been working on a custom invite for her that includes her wedding colors: mint green and coral.  I have hand painted the outside border.  I may digitally place her name on the front and the invite details on the reverse side of the card.  Here is what I have so far: I am also working on my photography skills…I'm trying to get some prettier pictures of my artwork.  Let me know your thoughts.IMG_4988 - Version 2
